Child Safety Standards
Version 2026-10-21 · Effective 21 October 2026
MyVibe has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion and any sexualisation of minors. These standards apply to every account, photo, message and rating on MyVibe.
1. Adults only
- MyVibe is only for people aged 18 or older. Everyone gives a date of birth before using it; people under 18 cannot continue.
- Photos may only show the account holder as an adult. Photos of children, including old photos of yourself as a child, are not allowed.
- MyVibe has no private messaging, matching or exchange of contact details.
2. Prevention and detection
- Every photo is checked before anyone else can see it. Automated checks look for nudity and for people who may be under 18. Explicit adult content is rejected; any photo that may show a minor goes to a human moderator, and nothing is shown before it has passed.
- Profile messages are checked before they are shown.
- The identical file of a rejected photo cannot be uploaded again.
3. Reporting
- In the app, every card and profile has a report option. Choose "Appears to be under 18" when someone looks like a minor; these reports are reviewed first.
- Anyone, with or without an account, can report a concern to support@myvibe.my (please write "Child safety" in the subject; these e-mails are handled first) or through our request form.
4. What we do
- We remove content that sexualises or endangers minors as soon as we find it, and suspend or ban the accounts involved.
- Accounts of people under 18 are closed.
- We report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the relevant authorities, including the Royal Malaysia Police and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), give them the information we hold, and cooperate with law enforcement.
- Moderators handling these cases follow a written procedure and do not share or download such material except as required to report it.
5. Compliance with the law
We comply with child safety laws that apply to us, including Malaysia's Sexual Offences against Children Act 2017, and with the child safety requirements of the app stores.
6. Child safety contact
Questions or reports about child safety, including from law enforcement: support@myvibe.my.
